in Events  •   Comments Off on National Guild Schedule for 2011 has been updated

Dear parents and participants, we’ve made some minor changes to our schedule. Please double check your schedule as your time may be shifted. If your schedule has been moved, then your teacher will give you a new check in paper on your next lesson day. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you very much.

You probably would like to know a little about our judges. Here is our first judge’s bio:

JEAN SHACKLETON completed her undergraduate work at Azusa Pacific University and received her Master’s of Music in Piano Performance at the University of Southern California. She is full time faculty at Mid-America Christian University, Oklahoma City, where she is head of the Piano Department. She is adjunct faculty at Oklahoma City University as an accompanist and teaches an Accompanying Class focused on the choral accompanist. She is accompanist for the Canterbury Choral Society of OKC, which in the summer of 2007 sang at Carnegie Hall in New York City. She has been a choir accompanist since 5th grade at churches or for schools and universities. She has traveled to 11 countries and throughout the United States as an accompanist for choir tours. She also maintains a private studio, teaching piano and flute. She is currently finishing a hymn arrangement book of her own piano arrangements. Jean and her sister, Ruth Yerden, travel extensively to churches and colleges playing duo piano concerts. She is married to Martin Shackleton, former Worship and Arts minister at Shartel Church of God in Oklahoma City. She has three married children and 7 grandchildren.
